WebRTC lets two browsers talk directly, with no media server in the middle. That means low latency and low cost.
You still need a small signaling channel to exchange offers, answers and ICE candidates. A simple WebSocket is enough.
STUN helps peers discover their public address; TURN relays traffic when a direct path is impossible. Always configure both.
With those pieces in place, a working one-to-one video call fits in a few hundred lines of code.
